Creator of CFL Football ’99, Wintervalley Software (www.wintervalley.com) is pleased to officially announce the development of its second PC football title, Maximum-Football.
While the rest of the game industry is abandoning the PC platform for the arcade world of console football, Wintervalley is going to bring PC game players something they have never had in a football title before. Maximum flexibility = Maximum-Football.
Maximum-Football(M-FB) is a completely new concept in football games. Other games, regardless of platform, have been limited to one set of rules or another. On occasion there was an option to turn off the play clock or penalties but nothing has every been done like this before.
Maximum-Football provides the game player the ability to play with virtually any known set of rules for outdoor football. This includes complete rule sets for both American and Canadian rules football, as well as user defined combinations of the two. Thus, the game player can create games that play 3 downs, on a small field, with 12 players per side, a 20 second play clock, and no fair catch. Or 4 downs, on the traditional Canadian field. More than 25 game rule options are provided. As well, there individual player graphics such as face masks and gloves. In Maximum-Football even the ball can be customized with new textures (striped or plain) as well as editable physical properties.
In order to provide Maximum flexibility to the user, this product is not licensed to a professional league. Team uniforms and other graphics as well as the roster, league, and team database’s are open source allowing for Maximum 3rd party development.
Maximum-Football is pure 3D using the DirectX8 based, TrueVision3D engine. High quality polygon players and 3D stadiums provide the player with stunning graphics. Maximum-Football will place emphasis the coaching aspects of the game with arcade play available.
